if you are trying to add the remote desktop connections broker feature to the remote desktop role keeps failing after multiple restarts -

"the request to add or remove features on the specified server failed. The operation cannot be completed, because the server you specified requires a restart."

This can be because the connections broker role on 2012 cannot coexist with active director domain controllers. There is a patch for 2012 which is not the same as the patch for 2012 R2.
