Why does our server look for an activation server locally instead of just activating?

This is just the automatic registration service trying to verify a product key as valid. It does happen on Windows 7 onwards and can be safely ignored.

If you receive messages regarding upgrade - this is particularly common with systems that were upgraded to Windows 10 for free during the offer a couple of years ago - then you may need to find your Windows 7 product key or find a Windows 10 key with ProduKey or similar, which will display the keys in use on your machine.

Produkey is detected as a virus by every browser and windows system now as they don't want people to recover their product keys anymore. Gates just wants all the money in the world for him and his shareholders.

In my experience, any series of windows product key will activate any other.

Windows 7 pro will activate win 11 pro for instance.
Recycling Computers  is my hobby so if you have any old PCs or Macs..

If you type 

wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey 

you should be able to see the original BIOS encoded product key without any other software.

If it is in search of an activation server but it is a MAK product then it has the wring product key and needs to be updates with the correct MAK code instead of the KMS code.
