Finally circumventing the security of the Sage Line 50 passwords has been taken beyond simple file submission in order to access the data. The system now encodes the setup.dta file with a string that prevents simply substituting the password file in order to gain access to the data. The system also enforces having a password rather than leaving it blank as you could on previous versions!
