The VSS service no longer seems to work on Windows 10 and 11

I am seeing:

No items found that satisfy the query.

Tried removing all other VS providers such as EaseUS but still no difference - now seeing this:

 backup-failed.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

A volume shadow copy service operation failed. Please check the VSS and SPP application event logs for more information. (0x807800A1)

Additional Information:
The writer experienced a non-transient error. If the backup process is retried the error is likely to reoccur. (0x800423F4).
