Why are my oogle searches no longer opening in a new tab and how do i get rid of this chrome sidebar?

I did it by going to: chrome://flags/#side-panel and just clicking the reset all button top right. I had to restart Chrome but at least things are back how they were.

It hasn't worked - it just went back once and now the side bar reapears when I right click and choose 'search with google' how do I make google search open a new page?

OK so this time I went to chrome://flags/#customize-chrome-side-panel and disabled that and had to restart again.

This time it seems to have worked. 🙂
