Here is our situation:
We have two LANs at two datacentres interconnected via MPLS
They are on separate subnets behind separate routers with separate switches etc.
Some of the 2012 R2 physical Hyper-V servers appear to stop listening on 3389
They are set on group policy to always receive 3389 and be listening.
we have checked the firewalls and they are all open for the remote desktop port.
But after a new cable is plugged in or something they stop listening.
Sometimes they come back after a day or two or a restart of the switch.
Some don't
