Hello all,

On our Remote Desktop Server 2012 R2, some of our users are seeing that Excel crashes if it has been left open (which they often need to do - pick-up where they left off) and they lose all of their work until they go to recovered items etc.

Now they open a lot of spread sheets at once and leave them open for ages, re-connecting to the session from different computers, but they have done this in the past without issue.

Event log example here:

Looking into this, it may well be related to group policy trying to re-map drives at logon that may be disrupting the file path to open files in Excel that is causing grief. I think we shall try removing a few of the old policies and report back on what we discover.
