Can anyone help me?

Every word my Microsoft Word 2016 keeps reverting to US English, now I know that the Americans are obsessed with ruling everything and everyone but can we not just keep our own language a bit longer?

Is there a way to default it to the UK language for the spellchecker so that it does not revert to US every word?

Is this on Windows or Mac?

Is it actually changing back to the default US keyboard every time you open the app or every time you reboot or what?
