In trying to configure the IP address for the web interface of a Quanta LB4M switch, using:

network mgmt_vlan 1
network parms dhcp
configure
interface 0/2
no shutdown


We are receiving:

Network protocol must be none to set IP address.

OK this was because the interface was set to DHCP

So we have an IP address, but no web interface.

According to the manual the web interface can be set using the 'web mode' and 'web port' commands using 'show ip interface' but we just get an error when we type 'show ip interface' into our system.

I think we need to get out of the switching part of the interface but we don't know how.. 😞

Our switch has version 2 firmware and as a result there is no GUI -you have to flash it with firmware version 1.0 to go back to that.
