Cases, contacts , accounts, opportunities etc. will not display on multiple screens due to a compatibility error on Outlook 2016
The Dynamics pane at the bottom of messages is shown to be blank even after associating a message or appointment with a particular account or case etc.
It has been true that Outlook CRM integration never worked well with 4k screens and that the dialogue boxes were always sized badly and needed constant attention, but now the system has fallen over completely and much of the important information required by Dynamics 365 users is no longer displayed.
The issue appears to be connected with graphics optimisation and page size control and so the fix is a relatively simple one.
In Outlook 2013/16/19 you can choose to use compatibility mode under File>Options and then under the
When using multiple displays option.
Simply select 'Optimise for compatibility' as below:
Restart Outlook and you should find contacts etc. now populate properly in the Outlook window.
