We have a Remote Desktop Services server system that is used remotely by a users and they each have an Outlook 2016 connection to Office 365

The Microsoft Office 2016 install was performed using the recommended method to install to RDS and all has been working fine for ages.

Now we are seeing that when users log in, they see Outlook is re configuring as if the OST file is missing and the system then attempts to download all of their Outlook data again.

The users obviously have cached email enabled but this problem is making that feature a problem as the system downloads 50GB every day!

Has anyone seen this or have any idea what we can do?

We have tried new profiles etc.

This is happening to more than one user.

Nothing in the event log discernibly links to this.
