Is this an issue with Windows backup? I didn't think I was actually backing this PC up...

The system is trying to perform optimisation which are probably handled by the disk itself. If it is an SSD then it doesn’t matter.

If it is a newer disk ignore this also. If it is older, it should probably be replaced anyhow before it fails.
