Trying to upgrade Sage 50 Payroll with the 0804 version, we have upgraded the software on the machine no problem, but when it comes to upgrading the data we are seeing:

your software cannot be upgraded because someone is currently using sage 50cloud payroll. Please ensure everyone has logged out of the system, then try again.

But no one is???

Any ideas anyone?

Perhaps we should try opening it up and closing again as the last users who were in the system.

Or open in MS Access and check the ‘access’ table.

Clearing a user from the Access table in the payroll.MDB file using MS Access solved our issue.
