Hello

I'm trying to install a Dell R720 with Windows Storage Server 2016 and I get an error message thrown during install:

System Thread Exception Not Handled

I do not have an option to install in the assisted installation with the Dell Lifecycle Controller

I had a similar issue with the last one but it was a different error.

It did install eventually after a few goes, but this one is giving me a headache... 😣

BIOS 2.9.0

All drivers and firmware appear to be the latest. 🖐

2016 server is not supported on those, just so you know.

But what you can do, rather than follow all of the firmware upgrades etc. and botches for Lifecycle controller, just do this:
• When it fails to boot and returns to the 'select an operating system' boot into Safe Mode

 • It will tell you that you need to restart the system, do so.

 • As it restarts, press F11 for the UEFI boot settings.

 • Choose the Windows Boot Manager option

 • It will start to configure devices.
• Bear in mind that it may have problems later if not supported, so we wouldn't recommend putting this into a production server situation.
