How do I stop Microsoft Word 'looking for your office account'

Is there a way to stop Microsoft Word searching for an 'Office' account at start-up? I have paid my fees and have a valid product code for Office 2016.

You should be OK if you have registered your office installation correctly, it should only check that your license is still valid.

You install a service that ‘caches’ your licenses but I’m not sure what it is called.
