When you come to upgrade your Sage system to v24 onwards you receive a message saying that Sage v24 is only compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 - oh dear...

Fortunately this is not true - it is only that the prerequisites do not install automatically and - even more bizarrely - the necessary installation files are unzipped to your hard drive whilst you are trying to run the installer.

You can get what you need by pressing the Windows Button + R and entering %temp% in the run dialogue box.

You need to find the 'Sage Accounts' folder in your temp directory and then find the redist folder and run the prerequisites manually.

You can then run the Sage files under the install directory and you should find that the upgrade runs normally from the Sage50Accounts_DataAccess.msi file.

Some of the prerequisites may already be installed so do not worry if you cannot run them all. as long as Sage50Accounts_DataAccess.msi runs you will be able to use Sage from your SBS 2011 server.
