| This has been seen by other users - the VSS writers and Hyper-V VSS services disappear and they restart the Cryptographic services and Hyper-V manager to bring the backup writers back, until they do this, Windows Server Backup fails. Our question is - do you have Visual Studio installed on your server? This can break the cryptographic and Hyper-V services by overloading the backup writers as they try to backup the .net folders in some Windows version. Try removing Visual Studio and installing on a disk you do not need to backup. |
