| Our 2012 server appeared to join the domain. It restarted as if it had joined the domain. It never said 'welcome to the domain' but it appears to be joined now, however we receive the following in the event log: Log Name: System Source: NetJoin Date: 04/09/2012 22:22:21 Event ID: 4097 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: User: SERVER\Administrator Computer: WIN-ELD19ODL5AG Description: The machine SERVER attempted to join the domain 'domain' but failed. The error code was 1332. | We solved by: unjoin domain, restart server, correct computer name, restart server, re-join domain, restart. I have a dog, and his name is Bingo! |

| Make sure your DNS client/server settings are correct as this is usually the reason for a failed domain join. |
