| Mac OSX Reinstall High Sierra - macos cannot contact recovery server Trying to install an old iMac 6,1 cannot contact recovery server If I use Lion it just ignores the USB and the DVD just brings up a command prompt window and doesn't install. What else can I try? |

| OK so after trying to install High Sierra from DVD using [i]holding C[/i] and then using the DVD as the startup-disk, I tried using a Lion DVD as the startup disk, but this was hopeless too. After plugging in a LAN cable I sed the old four finger salute (option + command + shift + R) for internet recovery and that allowed me to install Lion OK. |
