Our 2012 server appeared to join the domain.
It restarted as if it had joined the domain.
It never said 'welcome to the domain' but it appears to be joined now, however we receive the following in the event log:

| You must remove from domain, restart, correct any DNS or other issues then change the computer name to the desired name, restart again and rejoin the domain |
