| Hello I have Windows 10 on my laptop with Office 2010 installed All has been working fine always but now when I double click a DOCX file, I just get a spinning blue circle instead of opening the document Word opens fine by itself and can open files as normal from the File>Open dialogue Excel still works fine It is as if double clicking the DOCX files starts a process that cannot finish as it does not stop spinning. Laptop is an HP with a hundred different HP services running, but none of this has been an issue before. Any ideas? |

| I have just tried Microsoft Office 2010 repair and SFC /scannow to see if that helped. I also cleared %temp% by pressing Windows + R and typing %temp%, doing select all, and pressing delete and confirming 'delete all.' Just restarted and double clicking a Word Document had opened the file! I will keep an eye out on what happens, but it looks promising so far! |
